Title:
LIQUID EJECTION RECORDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000141631
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To eliminate damage and abrasion at the ejection opening part even if the grain size is increased by forming the ejection opening of a metallic material harder than resin when fine particles of pigment having a specified grain size are used for recording on a recording medium and specifying the opening diameter.

Recording is performed by ejecting a recording liquid, produced by dispersing fine particles into a liquid, from a fine opening toward a recording medium using a liquid ejection recorder. When a pigment having grain size of 0.02-0.6 μm is used as the fine particles, the ejection opening is formed of a metallic material harder than resin, the opening diameter is set at 25 μm or less and the hardness is set at 140 or above in Rockwell M scale. Total number of liquid being ejected from one opening is preferably set at 5×108 or less. More preferably, hardness of the ejection opening is set at 65-120 and the grain size of fine particles is set at 0.02-0.2 μm.
