Title:
LIQUID-ENCAPSULATED ENGINE MOUNT OF HANGDOWN TYPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003214482
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a liquid-encapsulated engine mount of hangdown type as improvement of a conventional technique involving such a problem that a liquid column resonance occurs when a high-frequency vibratory input is applied in the fore-and-aft direction while any vehicle is in an accelerative running, etc., to lead to heightening of the dynamic spring constant, which allows the vibration from the engine to be transmitted to the wall of the cabin to result in generation of the acceleration noise.

The liquid-encapsulated engine mount of hangdown type is composed of an outer metal piece 17 to be fixed to the body of the vehicle, an inner metal piece 18 fixed to the engine, a supporting rubber part 20 having a tapered form approximately, a main liquid chamber 48 and auxiliary liquid chamber 50, a partitioning member 14 to partition them from each other, and an orifice passage 54 in the circumferential direction to put the two chambers 48 and 50 in mutual communication, wherein rubber projecting pieces 64-1 and 64-2 made from a flat plate wound round the inner metal piece 18 ring-shapedly are installed in the main liquid chamber 48 rising up from the supporting rubber part 20 in a position between the inner 18 and outer metal pieces 17, and when a fore-and-aft vibration is applied, the rubber pieces 64-1 and 64-2 are allowed to serve as resilient resistance against the flow of the liquid L.
