Title:
LIQUID ERASER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04272965
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a liquid eraser which can give an area to be corrected to which one can give a writing with a water base ink without causing the shrinkage, a reduction in the density, etc., of the writing by mixing a hiding material with an organic solvent and a specified elastomer.

CONSTITUTION: A liquid eraser is produced by mixing a hiding material (e.g. titanium oxide) with an organic solvent (e.g. toluene) and a styrene/isoprene/ styrene block copolymer elastomer as essential components. This elastomer is used in order to form a coating film which can prevent a writing from undergoing a reduction in the density and is added in an amount of desirably 5-20wt.% based on the total amount of the eraser. In order to improve the hardness of the coating film, the dispersion stability of the hiding material, etc., it is also possible to use also another resin such as an acrylic resin or a polyester resin. By using magnesium oxide or the like together, the effect of preventing color settlement can be further improved.
