Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a liquid ink composition for impact printer, containing a dye dispersed in an oil which does not dissolve the dye, causing little abrasion and corrosion of printing wire, giving printed letter free from blotting and having excellent readability and suitable for wire-dot printer, etc.
CONSTITUTION: This liquid ink composition for impact printer is produced by dispersing (A) preferably 5-50wt.% of a dye such as nigrosine dye in (B) preferably 10-90wt.% of an oil which does not dissolve the component A, such as paraffinic oil or polybutene. An ink ribbon can be produced by impregnating the ink composition in a fabric ribbon cloth.
