A liquid jet apparatus 11 includes a medium holding unit 22 for holding a roll body R, a liquid jet unit 50 for jetting ink toward a sheet S unwound from the roll body R, feeding rollers 28a and 29a for unwinding the sheet S from the roll body R by being rotated in a first rotation direction and feeding the sheet S toward the liquid jet unit 50, a feeding motor 26 for rotating the feeding rollers 28a and 29a in the first rotation direction by being driven in a first direction while rotating the feeding rollers 28a and 29a in a second rotation direction opposite to the first rotation direction by being driven in a second direction, and a power transmission mechanism 27 for transmitting a driving force of the feeding motor 26 as a torque in a rewinding direction in which the sheet S is rewound to the medium holding unit 22 when the feeding motor 26 is driven in the second direction.
