Abstract:
PURPOSE:To automatically maintain a liquid level at an intermediate level by arranging at least a pair of upper and lower liquid level detecting elements connected with each other in series at different liquid level positions in a main tank and providing a circuit provided with a relay and switching element. CONSTITUTION:When a liquid level in the main tank 1 descends from a point A to another point C, the lower liquid level detecting element 3 operates and an electric current is made to flow. As a result, a switching element 13 is turned on and a coil 12 is energized. Then the movable contact pieces 10 and 10A of relays 9 and 9A are switched to contacts NO and standby pumps 17 and 17A supply the liquid in tanks 16 and 16A to the main tank 1. When the liquid level in the main tank 1 ascends to the position A, the upper liquid level detecting element 2 operates and the movable contact pieces 10 and 10A of the relays 9 and 9A are switched to contacts NC side. As a result, the pumps 17 and 17A are turned off and the liquid supply from the standby tanks 16 and 16A is stopped. Therefore, the liquid level in the main tank 1 is always controlled to a position B.
