Title:
LIQUID MOVING MEANS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004336898
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a liquid moving means that moves a droplet formed of an electrolyte by controlling a position to which a voltage is applied, and moves or distributes the liquid itself, or a matter dissolved in, contained in, adsorbed to, or attached to the liquid.

The liquid moving means comprises a first electrode 2 contacted to the droplet 1 formed of the electrolyte, second electrodes 31 to 36 arranged in parallel in a plurality of rows with an insulating layer 4 between with respect to the droplet 1, and a control means 10 that individually controls at each electrode the applied voltages applied to the second electrodes 31 to 36 arranged in parallel in the plurality of rows with respect to the first electrode 2. The control device 10 is constituted such that the applied voltages to the second electrodes 31 to 36 arranged in parallel in the plurality of rows can be individually controlled so as to move the droplet 1 along the insulating layer 4.
