Abstract:
According to the invention a material made from powders and of the liquid phase sintering type is first vacuum sintered to substantially full density, except for the presence of occasional closed clean flaws, and then, without lowering the temperature below the solidus, is subjected to gas pressure of 100-1000psi for 15-60 minutes for the purpose of healing the flaws.
