To provide a liquid repellent characteristic evaluation device capable of measurement of a slip drop angle under dynamic friction which is impossible by a conventional device, in addition to measurement of the slip drop angle under static friction performed by the conventional device.
This liquid repellent characteristic evaluation device, which is a device for evaluating the liquid repellent characteristic of the sample surface, is characterized by being equipped with a syringe for dropping liquid held on an upper part of a pedestal with adjustable height; a sample stage held rotatably around a horizontal rotation axis orthogonal to the liquid dropping direction from the syringe under the syringe on a middle part of the pedestal, for holding the sample in the state where the rotation axis agrees with the sample surface; and a measuring means of a rotation angle of the sample stage.
