Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liq. silicone rubber compsn. which has a suitable flowability before curing and is excellent in moldability and high-voltage electrical insulating properties by compounding an organopolysiloxane, fumed silica having a specified specific surface area, an organohydrogenpolysiloxane, a platinum catalyst, a fine aluminum hydroxide powder, and a metal carbonate.
SOLUTION: This compsn. contains 100 pts.wt. organopolysiloxane (A) having at least two Si-bonded alkenyl groups in one molecule, 1-60 pts.wt. fumed silica (B) having a specific surface area of 50m2/g or higher, an organohydrogenpolysiloxane (C) having at least two Si-bonded hydrogen atoms in one molecule in a molar ratio of Si-bonded hydrogen atom to Si-bonded alkenyl group of 0.5-20, a catalytic amt. of a platinum catalyst (D), 1-150 pts.wt. fine aluminum hydroxide powder (E), and 1-150 pts.wt. fine powder of a (hydrogen)carbonate of a metal of group 1, 2, 3, 7, or 9 of the periodic table (F).
