PURPOSE: To accurate distribute a liquid specimen with high accuracy, by positioning the liquid level of the liquid specimen within the same plane regardless of the quantity of the liquid specimen in a specimen container.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid specimen 2 is received in a specimen container 1 and a specimen container holder 3 positions and holds a plurality of the containers 1. A push spring 4 for elastically supporting the container 1 so that the liquid level of the liquid specimen 2 in the container 1 is positioned within the same plane regardless of the quantity of the liquid specimen 2 is provided to the bottom of the mount hole of the container 1. Further, a rotary positioning mechanism 5 moves a predetermined specimen to the distributing position of a distribution nozzle 6 to position the same. Next, the distribution nozzle 6 mounted to a nozzle arm 7 is reciprocally moved from the container 1 to a reaction container 8 as well as subjected to the up-and-down movement for sucking and emitting the liquid specimen 2 by a moving mechanism. Subsequently, a distributor 9 is operated so that a predetermined amount of the liquid specimen 2 is sucked from the container 1 by the distribution nozzle 6 to be emitted in a reaction container 8. By this method, the liquid specimen can be accurately distributed with high preciseness.
