To prevent, in liquid surface covering floats having a honeycomb- shaped hollow lateral face wherein a liquid level is always on a part of the hollow lateral face when the float is floated in a liquid, wasted floats from occurring which is moved by a stream or wind and overlap so that they do not serve to cover the liquid surface even if they float in the water or those which slightly interrupt among a plurality of the floats which are in contact on the exterior to cover the liquid surface to prevent them from being in contact on the exterior, thereby causing a part of the uncovered liquid surface.
The liquid surface covering float comprises a honeycomb-shaped hollow lateral face 11, a hollow protruding upper surface 12 for closing an upper part of the lateral face and thick lower surface 13 which is asymmetric with the protruding upper surface and thicker than a wall of the protruding upper surface for closing a lower part of the hollow lateral face. An inclination of an angle of elevation of 45° or more with respect to the upper part of the hollow lateral face is provided on the upper surface of the protrusion.
