Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium air secondary battery capable of enhancing the charge/discharge cycle performance and energy efficiency thereof while increasing the discharge capacity.SOLUTION: A gas diffusion type air electrode 101 as the cathode is constituted of: a carrier made of a porous body 111; and a carbon co-continuous porous body 112 of a carbon of the three-dimensional network structure which is continuously carried over the entire area of the carrier 111. The carbon co-continuous porous body 112 has an integral structure. The lithium air secondary battery includes a catalyst 113 carried by the air electrode 101. The catalyst 113 is adhered on the surfaces of the carrier 111 and a carbon co-continuous porous body 112.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1B
