Title:
LITHIUM ION BATTERY MODULE AND METHOD FOR CHARGING LITHIUM ION BATTERY MODULE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2021044151
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide a lithium ion battery module which can be charged in such a way that any single cell is not overcharged without the need for a circuit for monitoring SOC of each single cell.SOLUTION: A lithium ion battery module comprises a battery pack arranged by connecting lithium ion battery unit cells in series. Each unit cell comprises a unit laminate including a set of a positive electrode current collector, a positive electrode active material layer, a separator, a negative electrode active material layer and a negative electrode current collector which are laminated in order, and an electrolyte solution. The positive and negative electrode current collectors each include a resin current collector layer. A positive electrode active material included in the positive electrode active material layer consists of a positive electrode active material having an olivine acid type crystal structure. The lithium ion battery module has a charging terminal for flowing a charging current through the battery pack, and a battery pack voltage-measuring terminal for detecting a voltage between opposing ends of the battery pack, but it does not have a unit cell voltage-measuring terminal for detecting a voltage between the positive and negative electrode current collectors of each unit cell.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
