PURPOSE: To obtain a lithium ion conductive solid-state electrolyte of chemical stability, high conductivity and industrial advantage by having less than 40% by mole of lithium nitride contained in an electrolyte of γ0-lithium phosphate type crystal structure.
CONSTITUTION: The percentage of Li3N content is specified to a range below 40% by mole, and preferably from 5 to 25mole%. The percentage of the content above 40mole % refuses to obtain a lithium-ion conductive solid-state electrolyte of chemical stability and high conductivity. The lithium-ion conductive solid-state electrolyte can be obtained through the step of preparing raw materials for the electrolyte by means of a balance, and kneading them to be subsequently applied to a baking process using an electric furnace or the like. After baking the resulting composition, the method of gradually cooling it down to room temperature instead of rapid cooling is desired in order to obtain stable crystal structure of the electrolyte. This procedure provides the excellent lithium ion conductive solid-state electrolyte of chemical stability, high conductivity and industrial advantage.
