Abstract:

To suppress or prevent deposition of lithium (dendrite) by quickly increasing the potential of a positive electrode in the last period of charge, and increase coulombic efficiency, cycle characteristics, and charge capacity.

Electrodes for a lithium ion secondary battery are a positive electrode containing a positive current collector and a positive active material formed on the positive current collector, and a negative electrode containing a negative current collector and a negative active material formed on the negative current collector. The negative active material is graphite, and the positive active material is composite lithium manganate and olivine type composite lithium iron phosphate, and the contents of the composite lithium manganate is 30 mass% or lower of the contents of the olivine type composite lithium iron phosphate.
