Abstract:
To restrain deterioration of cycle characteristics, in a lithium ion secondary battery containing a blend of silicon (Si) and graphite, or a blend of silicon oxide (SiO) and graphite as the negative electrode active material.SOLUTION: A lithium ion secondary battery includes a negative electrode. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode mixture layer. The negative electrode mixture layer contains a negative electrode active material, and a binder. The negative electrode active material is any one of a blend of silicon and graphite, or a blend of silicon oxide and graphite. The binder contains cycloolefin polymer where the principal chain contains cycloolefin polymer consisting of a hard segment and a soft segment. The hard segment includes a cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon structure where the carbon number constituted of more than one monocycles is 7-30. The soft segment includes a chain hydrocarbon structure where the carbon number is 2-10. Mole ratio of the hard segment and soft segment is hard segment : soft segment=80-20:20-80.SELECTED DRAWING: None
