To recycle lithium-bearing batteries, where economic motivation is further enhanced if cobalt and nickel contained in such batteries can be valuated alongside with lithium.SOLUTION: The present invention concerns a slag composition having a high lithium content, suitable as an additive in manufacture of end-user products, or for economical recovery of the contained lithium.
