To provide a current collector for a lithium secondary battery anode with its adhesion with Si-system and Sn-based active materials well improved, and with excellent charge/discharge cycle characteristics.

The collector for the lithium secondary battery anode for Si-based and Sn-based active materials has a copper electrocoating layer taking on a particulate shape, with its particles swollen toward the surface side, with a swollen part of a diameter of 0.5 to 5 μm, and with the number of particles distributed at a density of 500,000 to one million pieces per mm2.
