Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin lithium secondary battery capable of preventing expansion of the battery due to progression of a charge and discharge cycle and improving safety by adjusting the strength of the battery so that the battery becomes advantageous to longitudinal compression.SOLUTION: A lithium secondary battery according to an embodiment comprises an electrode assembly in which a positive electrode, a first separator, a negative electrode, and a second separator are sequentially laminated. The first separator includes a first substrate having a first surface facing the positive electrode and a second surface facing the negative electrode. The second separator includes a second substrate having a third surface facing the negative electrode and a fourth surface facing the positive electrode. Any of the first separator and the second separator has adhesive force. Any of the first separator and the second separator does not have adhesive force.
