Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery suitable for motor driving of especially an electric vehicle, with high safety and high energy density by controlling the stock amount of an electrode active material and the dispersion in the distribution of the stock amount.
SOLUTION: A lithium secondary battery is formed by housing an inner electrode body 1 prepared by winding or stacking a positive electrode plate 2 and a negative electrode plate 3 through a separator 4 made of porous polymer in a battery case. A stock ratio of a positive active material to a negative active material obtained by dividing the weight of the positive active material by the weight of the negative active material is specified to 40% or more but 90% or less of the theoretical stock ratio.
