Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary cell with small self-discharging ratio, excellent cycle property, and high charge-discharge efficiency.
SOLUTION: The lithium secondary cell comprises a positive pole containing a compound enabled to occlude and release lithium as a main material; a negative pole containing graphite of which, the length of crystal grain Lc in the direction of c axis at X-ray diffraction is 150 &angst or more (provided that the grain with the length of crystal grain Lc in the direction of c axis at X-ray diffraction of less than 300 &angst is excluded) as a maim material; a separator installed between those positive and negative poles; and an electrolyte liquid with an electrolyte solute dissolved in a solvent. At least one solvent chosen from ethylene carbonate, γ-butyrolactone, γ-thiobutyrolactone, γ- valerobutyrolactone, γ-ethyl-γ-butyrolactone, β-methyl-γ-butyrolactone, tetrahydrofurane, 3-methyltetrahydrofurane, sulfolane, 3-methylsulfolane, 2- methylsulfolane, 3-ethylsulfolane, 2-ethylsulfolane, thiolane, α-pyrrolidone, pyrazolidine, pyrrolidine, dimethyl carbonate, diethyl carbonate, 1,2- dimethoxyethane, 1,2-diethoxyethane, or ethoxymethoxyethane is dissolved in the electrolyte liquid.
