To provide a printing method which makes the reproduction of a color rendering region wider than one impossible with conventional inks possible and employs respective color inks using no formaldehydes unacceptable environmentally, sanitarily and conservationally as raw material.
In the lithographic printing method employing inks selected among yellow ink, red ink, indigo blue ink and black ink, this method includes, as resin component, an ester modified hydrocarbon resin, which is obtained by modifying hydrocarbon resin with unsaturated carboxyl acid or its anhydride and an alcoholic compound. Further, in the lithographic printing method, when single printing and double printing are executed under the condition the density value of yellow is set to lie within the range of (or employed as a standard density) 1.40-1.44, that of red 1.52-1.56 and that of indigo blue 1.63-1.67, respective L*a*b* values of the standard density values fall within specified ranges.
