Title:
LITHOGRAPHIC PRINTING PLATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000112131
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To faithfully reproduce a silver image on the surface of a lithographic printing plate into a printed material by using specified highly chlorinated silver halide particles for the silver halide particles in a photosensitive layer.

This lithographic printing plate has a physical developing nuclei layer (image accepting layer) and a photosensitive layer containing a silver halide emulsion in this order on an aluminum supporting body. As for the silver halide particles in a photosensitive layer, highly chlorinated silver halide particles which are sensitized with gold and sulfur and have a bromide-rich phase arranged in corners are used. The silver halide particles in the photosensitive layer preferably contain a metal complex expressed by [M(NY)mL6-m]n, wherein M is a metal selected form Rh, Re, Ru, Cr, Ir and Os, L is a ligand, Y is oxygen or sulfur, N is nitrogen, m is 0, 1 or 2, n is the electric charge of the complex and is preferably -1, -2, -3, -4.
