To provide an organism hold kit capable of efficiently conducting storage/transportation, capable of surely supplying each of wells of a multiwell plate with a specimen, capable of keeping a microorganism alive for a long period, and capable of being repeatedly used, and to provide a storage container exclusively used for the same.

This organism hold kit 1 has a structure composed of a plate-like part 3 positioned on an upper surface of the multiwell plate 400 on which a plurality of wells 41 are arranged, projected parts 4 projectively mounted on positions corresponding to the wells 41 of the plate-like part 3 so as to be inserted into the wells 41, respectively, and water-absorbing members 5 held on top edge parts of the projected parts 4, respectively. The organism hold kit 1 is preserved by using a storage container 100 having such a structure as to individually seal and receive the projected parts 4 of the organism hold kit 1.
