Abstract:
Disclosed is a NAT-based method for load balancing in a DPDK environment implemented by a DPDK module and a scheduler of a NAT module, and comprising the following steps: initializing a DPDK module and a NAT module, and obtaining ports for receiving and sending queues, a NAT rule table and a state record table; using the DPDK module to record source and destination IPs and addresses of a received data packet, calculating to obtain hash values corresponding to the source and destination IPs and addresses; searching the NAT rule table according to the hash values, and determining whether the NAT rule table contains server IP and port information corresponding to the hash values; and if so, substituting the source and destination IPs and addresses to realize transmission of the data packet; or if not, searching the state record table for a server with the maximum remaining load, sending the data packet to the server with the maximum remaining load, recording, in the NAT rule table, communication information between the server with the maximum remaining load and a client, and updating the NAT rule table with the same. The present invention enhances applicability of a scheduler in large-scale traffics, has an expanded range of applications, and facilitates balancing a load of a server.
