PURPOSE: To obtain a uniform high accuracy load converting mechanism, in such simple constitution that a tuning fork vibrator is formed into an integral structure along with a base part for supporting said vibrator and a lever part to remove the influence of interfering external force.
CONSTITUTION: A tuning fork vibrator forms a load converting mechanism along with a base part 11 for supporting said vibrator and a lever part 10 from the same material as an integral structure. When tensile load F to be measured is added to a load receiving part 16, through the lever part 10 having arms with lengths (a), (b) with respect to a fulcrum 13, tension fore F(b/a) as acted on the tuning fork vibrator 1 which in turn vibrates at inherent vibration frequency corresponding to load F through piezoelectric elements 4a, 4b and an amplifier 5. The load F is measured from vibration frequency displayed by a frequency counter 6. Even when the load F is parallel to the center axis of the tuning fork vibrator 1 and is not present along the center line of a tensile piece 15 or interfering force is added, a uniform high accuracy load converting mechanism is obtained in simple constitution without being affected by the influence thereof.
