Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load drive unit which can drive an off-transistor which imparts a voltage for bringing a drive transistor into an off-state when turning off the drive transistor without receiving the power supply from a main power supply.SOLUTION: An IGBT drive circuit 10 in a load drive unit comprises a capacitor 17 which is charged with a drive current flowing in an IGBT 30. A charge voltage of the capacitor 17 is utilized as an on-signal for turning on an off-transistor 18. Therefore, even if the IGBT drive circuit 10 does not receive power supply from a main power supply such as a battery, the IGBT drive circuit can create the on-signal to the off-transistor 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
