PURPOSE: To operate a chairlift with high safety without being affected by snow or ice by positioning a belt linearly with a cable, forming openings or hole parts in the outer peripheral surface of a drum like nest holes, and allowing snow or ice accumulated in the areas between the drum and belt to be stored.

CONSTITUTION: A conveyor belt 16 is disposed, in a loading area 13, approximately linearly with a cable. The outer surface of a drum 17 is provided with a hole formed of a groove 28, and the groove 28 extends over the entire length in parallel with the axis of the drum 17. The side wall 32 and the cylindrical surface of a core 31 are provided with openings or hole parts. Snow or ice is discharged through the opening or hole part from the center or the inside of the hollow part of the core to the outside. Thus, even if snow is packed into the groove 28 of the drum 17 by the belt 16, the snow can be prevented from accumulating on the surface of the drum 17.
