PURPOSE: To simplify and miniaturize structure and to attain cost down by displacing elastic members molded unitedly with a holder and arranged in parallel with the operating direction of the holder with a fixed distance to regulate vertical operation, the linearity of a cartridge inserting direction, upper position and a down position.

CONSTITUTION: When the cartridge 5 is inserted, a load lever 10 is rotated in the counterclockwise direction by a loading motor, a bending part 3d of a holder 3 engaged with a roller 11 is disengaged from a horizontal part, the holder 3 starts descending motion by force due to the distortion of elastic members 3a, 3b, and a recording medium is engaged with a spindle motor and set up to a prescribed state. When the load lever 10 starts restoring operation by driving the loading motor, the roller 11 is engaged with the bending part 3d and the holder 3 is moved upward against the spring force of the elastic members 3a, 3b. When the load lever 10 is restored to the original position, the elastic members 3a, 3b are displaced up to the maximum, so that the cartridge 5 can be unloaded.
