PURPOSE: To perform the operation of a station without making an unnecessary indication of initialization even when an indication of initialization is received from another station while initialization is carried out by a station which performs initialization control.

CONSTITUTION: When frame storage in a receiving memory 104 is completed, a reception control circuit 103 causes an interruption through a signal line 201 to a microprocessor 110. The microprocessor 110 interrupted through the signal line 201 reads and checks a frame in the receiving memory. If the frame is an initialization indication message, a specific time, i.e. time when an information processor 20 receives the initialization indication message reception by an adapter 30 through an internal bus 4 and processes that to indicates an initialization stop to the adapter 30 through the bus 4 is set in the timer incorporated in the microprocessor 110, and the initialization indication message reception is sent out to a central processor 40 through the internal bus 4.
