To provide an electromagnetically-actuated latch-type planar handle device which disables an operation handle from being operated by a person except an authorized person.
A solenoid unit is fixed to a base plate; an intermediate portion of a driving lever is pivotally attached to a bearing portion of the base plate; a leading end of a plunger of the solenoid unit is pivotally attached to a back end of the driving lever; a base end of a stopper is pivotally attached to a front end of the driving lever; the stopper is fitted into a guide groove of a guide block of the base plate; and a leading end of the stopper is engaged with a stopper retainer portion of a latch through a guide hole of the guide block, so that the latch can be bound in a locking position to be engaged with a step. During an unlocking operation, the plunger is attracted by the passage of an electric current through the solenoid unit, and the stopper is disengaged from the stopper retainer portion.
