Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep an outside handle from readily moving outward even when vibration or the like is generated.
SOLUTION: A lock for a soundproof door includes a seat plate secured via a fastener to the exterior wall surface of the soundproof door opposite to the outside wall of a lock case, an outside handle 6 inserted into the seat plate and removably attached to the rectangular shaft 7 of an inside handle, and a vertical rod which, when the outside handle 6 or inside handle is depressed vertically, moves vertically via a cylindrical body provided integrally with the rectangular shaft 7. A handle holding mechanism 30 is provided at the base of the outside handle 6, and a movable pressure connector 33 constituting the handle holding mechanism 20 is constantly pressed against the rectangular shaft 7 of the inside handle by the spring force of an energizing spring 34.
