Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent lowering of exhaust braking force by employing a torque converter associated with lock-up clutch and coupling said clutch directly upon operation of exhaust brake. CONSTITUTION:Under speed change operation where a change lever 17 is turned on or when disconnecting a dry board clutch where a pressure switch 5 is turned on, or upon turning on of an emergency change lever switch 15, exhaust brake operation is released. Exhaust brake is turned on when exhaust brake switch 18 is turned on, accelerator switch 16 is turned on while pressure switch 5 is turned off. Upon operation of exhaust brake, an electromagnetic device V4H is driven to communicate through a control valve V4 to a pump 6 while a lock-up clutch 8a of torque converter 8 is functioned to couple directly. Consequently lowering of exhaust braking force can be prevented.
