Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device which can prevent picking thereof by employing a relatively simple device without largely changing a conventional locking system.
SOLUTION: The locking device is comprised of (a) a key, (b) a mechanical locking section, (c) an electric locking section, and (d) a time counting means. (a) The key includes a digital code section storing digital code information therein, and a key ridge section having notches conforming to key ridges. (b) The mechanical locking section assumes an unlocking position or an unlockable position when the notches thereof conform to the key ridges. (c) The electric locking section assumes an unlocking position when digital codes correspond to each other. (d) When one of the mechanical locking section and the electric locking section assumes the unlocking position, the time counting means starts counting of time. If the other locking section assumes the unlocking position within a predetermined waiting time, entire unlocking is permitted. On the other hand, if the other locking section is not switched to assume the unlocking position within the predetermined waiting time, the locking section already having assumed the unlocking position is canceled, or the other locking section is inhibited from assuming the unlocking position.
