PURPOSE: To easily edit and output all logging data corresponding to connection bus even in the case that the configuration of the connection bus between a host computer and a peripheral device is complicated in respect of a logging data editorial processing method.

CONSTITUTION: When an operator inputs an editing request from an input device 5A, a peripheral device information read processing part 15A reads configuration definition information from a connection bus configuration information storage part 11 in the peripheral device 3A, and sends it to an editorial processing part 8, and simultaneously, it reads error information and retry information from the error information storage part 13 and the retry information storage part 14 of a log information storage part 12, and sends them to the editorial processing part 8. The editorial processing part 8 edits the logging data (error information, retry information) on the basis of the configuration definition information, and outputs it by sending it to an output device 6.
