Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deposition as a crystal even at a low temperature and to prevent deterioration of electric conductivity even at a high temperature by using a dibasic acid denoted by a particular formula and/or a salt thereof as a solute.
SOLUTION: A dibasic acid selected from a group consisting of long chain dibasic acids denoted by a formula HOOC-A-B-COOH (A denotes branched chain allulene group with a carbon number 7-10, B denotes a formula I-formula VI). and long chain dibasic acids denoted by formula VII(R1 denotes a lower alkyl group, n denotes an integer 6-10) or an ammonium salt thereof, and this dibasic acid and/or ammonium salt thereof may be used as a solute. This is dissolved in a solvent whose main solvent is ethylene glycol to obtain an electrolyte for driving an electrolytic capacitor. Thus, deposition as a crystal can be prevented even at a low temperature, and further deterioration of electric conductivity can be prevented even at a high temperature.
