Abstract:
PURPOSE:To produce a long cylinder at low cost, by composing a cylinder drum portion by connecting not less than two cylinder tubes of the same shape. CONSTITUTION:An upper surface flange 2 and a lower surface flange 3 are mounted to both ends of a cylinder tube 1, and connecting holes 4, 5 are each drilled to said flanges 2, 3. The upper surface flange 2 of the cylinder tube 1 and a flange 8 of a rod cover 7 are connected by means of bolts 9, the lower surface flange 3 and an upper surface flange 2' of another cylinder tube 1' by means of bolts 10 and a lower surface flange 3' of the cylinder tube 1' and a flange 12 of a head cover 11 by means of bolts 13. Since composing this long cylinder in this manner allows the manufacturing of the long cylinder by facilities for general use for conventional short cylinders, the cost of production becomes cheap.
