Title:
LONG DISTANCE MOVEMENT SYSTEM TO TOW AUTOMOBILE BY SUPPLYING MOTOR WITH ELECTRIC POWER FROM POWER PLANT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011093518
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a long distance movement system to tow an automobile by supplying a motor with electric power from a power plant.

A light railroad track is embedded on an expressway or a road, and a trailer having metal wheels is moved on the track. The electricity from a power plant is sent to a power transformer unit provided in the trailer through a collector shoe provided on a charged rail and the trailer, and the trailer is driven by a motor (iron rail transportation system in a typical urban area), so that an automobile, hybrid electric automobile, or electric automobile is connected to the rear side of the trailer to travel on the light railroad track and therefore an automobile engine can be stopped during travelling. Thus, the system for moving the automobile, hybrid electric automobile, or electric automobile for a long distance without fuel oil can be provided. In addition, an electric power unit of the hybrid automobile or electric automobile can be charged by the power transformer unit of the trailer in the process of towing.
