PURPOSE: To simplify structure and improve work efficiency by forming the captioned device so as to allow occurrence of material not arranged in a row to some extent at the time of arranging long rod material on a slanting stand and excluding or arranging in a row the material, not arranged in a row, by means of a scraper device provided atop the slanting stand.
CONSTITUTION: A group of long rod materials placed on a pocket 1 formed by a belt 5, one end of which is reelable by means of a drum, are transferred from the pocket 1 onto a small cradle 6 in a condition of being separated into small groups. Subsequently, the rod materials are transferred onto an elevation/lowering slanting stand 10 one by one through rotation of a click drum 8, and are arranged in a row upon said stand to be stored. When storage of a predetermined number of materials is detected by means of an adjacent sensor 11, the slanting stand 10 is elevated by operation of a cylinder 12, and subsequently materials which are not arranged in a row are excluded through leftward action of a scraper 16 of a scraper device 13. Later, the slanting stand 10 is lowered, and rod material groups arranged in a row are transferred to E part.
