Abstract:
To provide a long rod type polishing machine which inhibits leakage and falling of powder dust.SOLUTION: A dry wall sander, one example of a long rod type polishing machine, includes: a head part 8 having an electric motor 78 and a pad 82 which is moved by driving force of the electric motor 78; and a rod part 2 in which the head part 8 is connected to its end and which extends in an anteroposterior direction. The head part 8 has: a vertical wall part G which encloses the radial outer side of the pad 82; and a ground member 86 which is disposed between the vertical wall part G and the pad 82 and encloses the radial outer side of the pad 82. The ground member 86 has: a brush attachment part 180; and a brush 184 disposed at the lower side of the brush attachment part 180. A lower end of the brush 184 is located below a lower end of the vertical wall part G. The brush attachment part 180 has through holes extending in a radial direction of the pad 82.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
