PURPOSE: To make it possible to tie a long sized body group automatically and efficiently by a method wherein the approximately central part of a long sized body group is received from the bottom by a bucket, and the axes are made in parallel by shaking, and both end parts are evened by pressing, and then the lower part outer peripheral shape and the upper part outer peripheral shape are smoothed.
CONSTITUTION: When a long sized body group A is fed in a bucket 14 which protrudes upward from the carrying surfaces of conveyors C1-C4, the bucket 14 shakes, and the axes of respective long sized bodies become mutually in parallel. Then, the long sized body group A is handed to a bucket B on the conveyors C1-C4, and both ends are pressed by pressing boards 24. When the long sized body group A has reached the position of lower part and upper part smoothing units 3 and 4, a lower part slide arm 38 lifts the long sized body group A from the bucket B, and a sliding arm 48 and a slide-up board 49 are positioned on both sides, and lower part slide arms 38 slide in the mutually approaching direction, and the lower part outer periphery is smoothed. Then, the sliding arm 48 presses the long sized body group A, and the slide-up board 49 ascends along the tilted direction to smooth the upper part side surface, and thus the outer peripheral shape of the long sized body group A is smoothed. By this method, smooth-tying of the long sized body group A can be automatically and efficiently performed.
