As for the loop type sorting device, it is paid to attention that there exists a cargo storing space ample in capacity in a loop type carrying mechanism itself, the device is thereby provided in a space between a cargo receiving berth 2 and the carrying mechanism, concurrently the device is also laid across an automatic introducing part 21 charging each cargo P to the carrying mechanism and a main route 25 in a loop shape of the carrying mechanism at the downstream side of the automatic introducing part 21, and concurrently, the device is also provided with a key-in introducing part 23 which inputs information about the orientation area of each cargo P, and can charge each cargo P to the carrying mechanism.
