Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the meandering of a metal strip without excessively reducing an accumulation amount of the metal strip, and to efficiently pay out the accumulated metal strip.SOLUTION: A movable distance of a movable roll of a specified looper in which a metal strip is liable to meander out of a plurality of loopers for accumulating or paying out the metal strip which is continuously processed by a continuous process line is set and changed shorter according to an operation condition than movable distances of remaining loopers other than the specified looper. With the set and changed movable distance as a new movable distance of the specified looper, a position of the movable roll of the specified looper is changed conforming to the new movable distance. Positions of respective movable rolls of the plurality of loopers are controlled by making a relative value of a position with respect to the new movable distance of the movable roll in the specified looper and a relative value of a position with respect to the movable distances of the movable rolls of the remaining loopers coincide with each other.
