Title:
LOW COST ANTENNA USING CONDUCTIVE COMPOSITE MATERIAL BEING CONDUCTIVE RESIN MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004236289
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a low cost antenna manufactured by using a conductive loaded resin-based material.

The conductive loaded resin-based material is obtained by filling conductive fibers or conductive particles in a resin host material made of a resin material, wherein the ratio of the weight of the conductive fibers or conductive particles to the weight of the resin host material is within a range from about 0.20 to 0.40. The conductive fibers may be fibers of stainless steel, nickel, copper, silver, or the like. The antenna elements can be formed using methods such as injection molding or extrusion. Virtually, any antenna fabricated by using conventional material such as a wire, strip-line, printed circuit board, or the like can be fabricated using the conductive loaded resin-based materials. The conductive loaded resin-based material used to form the antenna elements can be prepared in the form of thin flexible woven fabric which can readily cut to the desired shape.
