Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a low-frothing wetting agent comprising an N,N'- dialkyltartaric acid amide, and a composition comprising the wetting agent.
SOLUTION: A water-based composition showing dropped equilibrium surface tension particularly compositions of a coating material, of an ink, of an adhesive, and of a fountain solution, and compositions for agriculture, and for an electronic equipment washing are obtained by mixing the N,N'-dialkyl amide of tartaric acid represented by the formula (wherein R1 and R2 are each a 4-8C alkyl group, and at least one of R1 and R2 is a branched 4-8C alkyl group) in a dropping amount of surface tension.
