Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a vibrator which can reduce dispersion of vibration energy transmitted to a support structure, having an excellent S/N ratio which can reduce the possibility of self-occurrence of noise caused by vibration as disturbance transmitted to the support structure.
CONSTITUTION: A fastening bolt 11 coaxially supports a plurality of annular piezoelectric elements 4, 4-1, 4-2, 4-3, and an annular support part 3 in the middle of the elements 4, 4-1, 4-2, 4-3, that is, the bolt 11 has the its front end part and its rear end part which are screwed into a front and a rear mass 1, 2, respectively, and its intermediate part which pierce through the center holes of the annular support part 3, the front piezoelectric elements 4, 4-1, and the rear piezoelectric elements 4-2, 4-3 with a radial gap therebetween. Thus, they are integrally incorporated with one another by the bolt 11 so as to form a vibrator assembly which is coaxially fitted in and supported by a support cylinder 6. A thin-wall flange 7 formed in the center part of the outer periphery of the annular support 3 coaxially thereof is fastened by the support cylinder 6 and a bushing 8 coaxially screwed in the rear end of the cylinder 6.
