Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an array structure of low NOx cell burners which can reduce the concentrations of CO and H2S in a hopper of a furnace of a boiler without extremely adversely affecting the performance of a unit.
CONSTITUTION: Each inverted type cell burner is provided with a single coal nozzle 14 which is attached to a location below a secondary air port 16 if the cell burner is of a non-inverted type, or alternatively attached to a location above the same if the cell burner is of the inverted type. The secondary air port 16 is for use in supplying secondary air in the immediate vicinity of flames discharged from the coal nozzle 14.
