This low NOx combustion device capable of realizing a reduction in NOx by controlling the temperature of combustion gas from a burner comprises a low NOx means for setting an NOx/air ratio characteristic so that a generated NOx value is decreased according to an increase in the air ratio of the burner and setting a CO/air ratio characteristic so that an exhausted CO value is increased according to an increase in the air ratio and an air ratio control means controlling the air ratio of the burner to a specified air ratio. The air ratio control means comprises an atmospheric temperature detection means, and is formed so as to control the air ratio to the specified high air ratio based on detection signals from the atmospheric temperature detection means.
