Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a thermosetting low refractive index resin composition which has excellent coating properties and storage stability, and gives a cured product having excellent heat resistance, adhesion, hardness, solvent resistance and transparency enabling it to be suitably used for optical articles such as a clear coating agent for a liquid crystal display panel and a color filter protective film.
SOLUTION: The resin composition is prepared by synthesizing a copolymer composed of a monofunctional (meth)acrylate compound having a surface active group consisting of a fluorinated polyethylene oxide chain, a monofunctional (meth)acrylate compound containing fluorine and having a structure other than that compound, a monofunctional (meth)acrylate compound having one hydroxyl group in the structure and a compound containing a monofunctional unsaturated group and having one carboxyl group in the structure, and compounding a melamine compound and a diluent with the copolymer.
